– Stalking rifle competition,

• 10am Championship opening shot to declare match open

- Stopper class matches and Dangerous Game Match.

Signing In:
All competitors and non-shooting visitors must sign in on arrival at the Perth Big Game Rifle
Range. There is no entry fee to the Wanneroo Shooting Complex. Entry gate to the Complex will
be open on Friday for practice at 10am until 3pm, and Saturday/Sunday for competition, from 7am to late.
Matches to be shot:
All 8-core matches for Big Game Rifle will be shot, one dangerous game event.
Stalking Class
1. Special Snap - 8 rounds
2. Stalking Double Rifle - 14 rounds
3. Group 1 -20 rounds
4. Black Powder Express - 20 rounds (no optical sights allowed)
Stopping Class
1. Group 2 - 14 rounds
2. Stopping Double Rifle - 10 rounds
3. Bore Gun - 14 rounds
4. Group 3 - rounds
Dangerous Game Events
Supplementary event 1 - 8 shots – Stalking double
Dangerous Game Events
– competitors to use a minimum staking double calibre for this event.

National BGR Events will be shot in the order above with event timing and squadding
details to be provided after close of nominations
Rifle eligibility – General:
All rifles used must be hunting rifles which are 'in the spirit of the event'
-meaning a rifle of style, weight and configuration as would normally be used, or have been used,
for hunting big game. In the interest of fellow shooters, use of muzzle brakes or rifles
with 'ported' barrels is not permitted.
Nominations:
Due to WAPOL interstate group permit requirements, ALL NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED
BEFORE C.O.B. 8th of August 2025 to allow time for permits to be approved by WAPOL.
All Interstate competitors must complete Part B and Part C of the WA Police Interstate Group
Permit (this will be sent out with the nomination forms) to provide details of your firearms that you
will be bringing into WA, during the competition. When completing the “Other Items” section at
the bottom of the page of Part B, please overstate the ammunition and other accessories that you
will be bringing with you.

Nominations will only be accepted upon a completed Nomination Form, and for interstate
competitors, the WA Police Interstate Group Permit (Form 6) and payment. Any nomination
received after that date may not be accepted.
Rules:
All matches will be shot in accordance with the current SSAA Rules, BGR-National rules No.5 2024,

Teams and Team Selection:
There is no teams’ events or state team selection at this event.
Prizes:
Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each of the 8 core events for the matches listed above.
1st, 2nd and 3rd for Open Champion based on best two stalking events and best two
stopping events (you must shoot at least two stalking and two stopping events).
1st, 2nd and 3rd for Veterans (60years and over) based on any two events shot.
Prizes for Champions calculated as per National Rules is the following categories: (i) Open, (ii)
Veteran (60 years & over), (iii) Ladies, (iv) Junior under 15 years and (v) Junior under 18 years.
Dangerous Game Events Local prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each event and Aggregate Champion.
A presentation dinner will be held on

Facilities:
There are no facilities at PBGRC range; there is some temporary shade only. Temporary toilets
will be available.
Chairmans Meeting:
The Big Game Rifle Chairmans meeting will be held at the conclusion of shooting Saturday, 13th
September at approximately 3pm to be held at Perth Handgun Metallic Silhouette Club (PHMSC)
which is located within the Wanneroo Shooting Complex.
Accommodation.
There are powered sites, with showers and toilets are available at Perth Handgun Metallic
Silhouette Club, which is within the Wanneroo Shooting Complex.

Bulk ammunition
If you require large quantities of ammunition to be sent over for the shoot, this can be sent via a
dealer on a small pallet or other container to Roy Alexanders and Son’s, 44 Eighth Avenue Maylands, Western Australia 6051.
