SSAA General Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd is a boutique brokerage that exists to assist all SSAA members, affiliated clubs and branches with their insurance needs. As an independent SSAA business, our number one priority is the members of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia. We are “The Shooter's Broker”, making us the obvious choice when it comes to insurance for SSAA members.

SSAA General Insurance Brokers is wholly owned by SSAA Inc. The brokerage pays dividends back to SSAA Inc. which helps keep membership fees low and provides funds for other member benefits and projects. So, when you use the services we offer, you can be confident that you are directly supporting your Association and the shooting sports.

Every single SSAA member is covered for liability and personal accident insurance, along with membership discounts and benefits on other policies when using the services of the SSAA General Insurance Brokers (SSAAIB). The liability insurance covers the member while engaged in all lawful recreational shooting activities to a limit of $20 million, subject to $1000 excess. For example, if the member causes any bodily injury and / or property damage caused by the discharge of a firearm, crossbow or archery bow in a manner that is allowed or permitted by law and/or with lawful authority, then they need to contact the brokerage as soon as possible so SSAAIB can report the incident to the insurance company for its consideration.

MEMBER'S ONLY $35 FIREARMS INSURANCE

You’ll be covered at home, at the range, while hunting plus overseas for up to 28 days. This great-value insurance covers you against loss, damage or theft and the excess is only $100 per claim. What’s more, claims are settled for replacement value up to 5 years of age assessed by an approved firearms dealer.

Compare it to your Home & Contents policy, which may have a far greater excess than $100 and only covers your firearms at home. Members are also discovering that if your firearms and accessories are listed on a Home & Contents policy you will save money by removing them. If you want to know more, call the SSAA.
