2017 Westley Richards Silver Cup Shoot

On Sunday, 19 Nov 2017 the 13th Westley Richards Silver Cup Shoot was held at Perth Big Game Rifle Club.  

3 events are shot; being Charging Animal format – centre-fire minimum calibre 0.260”,

Nitro Rifle – any centre-fire rifle sing the practice 12 shot Group 1 sequence and

Double Rifle – 10 shots using the now Stopper Double sequence- any calibre centre-fire .228” and greater.

To qualify for the Silver Cup one has to use a Westley Richards Rifle in at least one event and that score and other best score (as percentages) are added. All “Cup/Prize” scores have to be shot with “open sights” as per the BGRC Rules.

After the shoot while some club members scored and collated, John P ran those that wanted through a shoot with our new charging animal Panterror machine with a leopard target. I would especially like to thank Harvey L and Alan D for bringing their W/R rifles and ammo so others without a Westley could have a chance at the coveted Silver Cup, plus Rich and Yannick for their help with scoring and everyone else that helped make the day go smoothly.
