Licensing Info

There are many Information Sheets available on the WA Licensing Services (Firearms) website which can help you navigate you through important information you need to know.

Competition Licences

Competition Licences are for those members that are a member of a licensed club and compete in competition matches.

See all the info about competition licences here - Competition Licence

Travelling with Firearms - Permits

A Permit can be issued for a period of up to 3 months. The fee applicable to a Permit is $133 for 3 months or part thereof and applies to all Permits including a permit for Possess only or Possess and Use as per r.213.

A Permit may be renewed for a term of up to 3 months on application made before the end of the term of the permit or within 3 months after the end of that term. After that time the permit cannot be renewed, but the person can apply for a new permit.

A Permit must not be granted or renewed to authorise a person to possess or use any particular firearm for more than 6 months in any period of 12 consecutive months.

You can find a copy of the Permit Form Here - Permit Forms
